We both just wanted to wish you and the rest of the staff a very Merry Christmas and once again thank you for all the help and recommendations you made to add to such a great holiday. We have 2000 pictures of memories. We can hardly believe how much we packed into the six weeks away. We did arrive home to snow and on Christmas eve here we are boasting the city in Canada with the most snow....but ?no worries? Santa will have no problem arriving here. All the best. I know it was an odd request that took some time to research and I appreciate that it was looked into as quickly as it was. We had a great experience @ Travelers Oasis. Gabe did a great job getting us on the reef tour, hiring a car for us and showing us several places to go that we wouldn't have gone to otherwise. While at On the Wallaby, we saw a photo of Gabe w/ a rather large snake that had eaten a few days earlier. Recognized him from across the room! Anyways, thanks for running such a great hostel. | Greg And Fiona | Ireland | I CANT BELIEVE I AM CHECKING OUT OF THIS AMAZING HOSTEL TOMORROW. Life suddenly sucks. Ok it doesnt but this hostel is great. The atmosphere is amazing and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Here we learned to dive with pro dive and we got our PADI's (yes being Irish that is hilarious but moving on swiftly). When we first arrived we stayed in the YHA (boooooooooooooo) in Cairns which had fine rooms but the atmosphere there sucked so much ass. We were recommended Trav Oasis by a friend we met in Cape Trib and instantly fell in love with the place. We wanted to thank you again for the advice with booking our trips, last week we have been to the Whitsundays and the boat (Summertime) was fantastic! 16 nice people and 3 great crew! If people ask you for advice, we would advice this boat to people who want to enjoy a social time but not party'ing. This boat is really about seeing the whitsundays, diving, kayakking, but not partying, drinking 24 hours a day, 3 days long! However, if you like to spend some nights in a beautiful, laid back hostel, this is your spot! I loved the athmosphere as well as the cleanliness of the hostel. When you get here, ask for the Pegasus, her trusty partner in crime is the helles belles...and then there is their other compadre, roomraider aka may i read!!! To get ahead in this place give helles belles plenty of sour cream, she loves to bathe in it!!! Pegasus is more of a fan of bendy activities...massive flexiness. Just buy her a snooker cue and shes well happy!!!!! And there is roomraider, she absolutely adores stout and leprecahuns. If you are less than 5 foot tall and grissly, you will love this place and she will look after you!! John's warm reception is so welcoming and he's very helpful and accomodating booking tours, and his knowledge of all the different activities in the area is very extensive. I stayed for just over a week and would recommend it to everyone. I would say it is the best hostel I have ever stayed in and that's no exageration. | Hazel | Scotland | Some people say "theres no place like home" but when you stay at travellers your opinion will surely change... spent 3 lovely weeks at Travellers Oasis and it was wicked, from the spotlessly clean rooms, to the cleanest kitchen and shower rooms, certainly the best hostel i've stayed at during my year travelling australia. Then theres the staff who are an awesome team.
