Not only is the Great Barrier Reef one of the Natural Wonders of the World, it is also another of the fascinating World Heritage listed National Parks that Cairns has at it’s doorstep.
The reef stretches for nearly 2000 kilometres along the Queensland coast and is host to an abundance of life and colour.
Swim with 1,500 species of fish, ranging from tiny, bright orange clown fish to the playful antics of the friendly Maori Wrasse. Be amazed by giant turtles, harmless reef sharks, stingrays, moray eels, giant clams and colourful coral gardens.
Accessible from Cairns on a variety of day boats and overnight vessels, we can have you right in the midst of this breathtaking display of life in the undersea world. Water temperature ranges between 22 and 28 degrees Celcius, and with visibility averaging between 10 and 20 metres, we can offer you comfortable snorkelling, diving and swimming all year round.
There is a multitude of sailing vessels, catamarans and small cruise boats that take you to the reef. Soak up some sun on deck or relax in airconditioned comfort in the cabin while you prepare yourself for an unforgettable day of snorkelling, swimming, scuba diving and walking on unspoilt beaches on remote sand islands.
For the adventurous, there is some good fun to be had on the boom-nets, and for those of you who are not too sure about getting your feet wet, there is the safe surrounds of the glass-bottom boats to guide you over the reefs.
You do not have to be an experienced swimmer, snorkeller or scuba diver to enjoy the Great Barrier Reef!
